Pinned down

Kazaryl was forced to land. He was not about to risk the death of Dante, besides, without any passengers, he'd be able to fight better.

Very well, demon, I shall land. However, Here the dragon's voice became very firm and fierce, If ANY harm should come to this vampire or his mount, I shall personally tear out your entrails and roast you from the inside out. I have done it before and have no hesitation of doing it again..

He began to decrease altitude and began to search for a clearing in the frozen forest in which to land.

OOC: i plan to get Erin Wolf and Lyra Clear Waters in on this, if you dont mind, seeing as they are also in this forest not too far off...if you are alright with that.

The demon smiled displaying jagged, uneven, and pointed teeth.
"You have my word," he leard at Dante. Dante shuddered at the thoughts of what this guy did on his free time. Probably kicking puppies and eating children.

I'd rather have your life draining in between my talons than your tainted word, demon.

Kazaryl spotted a small clearing, the scent of wolves was strong there though...wolves...could be dangerous...and...they could just distract the demon...He dragon manuevered towards the clearing, slowly decreasing altitude still.

Dante felt the demon's grip loosen when he turned to yell at one of his Hench men. Making a split second decision he rammed his elbow into the guys gut. then slammed his head into his nose, Dante heard a sickening crack as the bones in the nose shattered. The demon fell over, dead. But when the demon fell forward the creatures black dagger buried its self in Dante's shoulder.

Kazaryl roared and charged the last demon. This demon was rather unfortunate. He suffered being burnt, clawed, bitten, crushed, and whipped by the huge dragon's tail. When Kazaryl was through, all that was left was a discolored spot on the ground where the demon had stood. Nothing else...at least, nothing recognizable...

The dragon breathed heavily.

Are you all right little one? He said, concern filling his voice.

Dante gasped in pain as he pulled out the dagger. The gaping cut felt like it was pulsing with its own heart. Dante inspected the knife covered in his silver red blood.
"Sarated blade. It gives the same idea as a porkupine quill. " Dante sounded impressed. "Made with black obsidian, carved not forged."

Kazaryl growled. Will you be alright, little one? Should i seek a healer? the dragon's tail thrashed back and forth in frustration. Dante had been injured. That was exactly what the dragon had NOT wanted.

Dante raised his good arm,"peace dragon I shall be fine. "
Dante pulled his shirt over is head and prodded the wound gently, "already stopped bleeding. To bad he had. To ruin this shirt."
he kicked the demon out of his path and retrived the blood skin. He opened it and began to drink.

Kazaryl nodded, stills lightly annoyed that he hadn't killed all the demons before they had harmed Dante.

I suggest resting here till we both have recovered a little more, alright little one?

Dante agred softly. With painfull sluggishnss dante
unpacked the dragon and picketed the horse.
"Wake me if something happens, and please do something about te demon."

Kazaryl nodded to Dante. He walked over to the demon and set it on fire. He let it burn to ashes then lay down to guard Dante and the horse. He looked upas the the sun began to set and the stars began to shine. It was a beautiful evening sky.

Dante opened his eyes and grit his teeth in pain as a wave of agony passed through his right shoulder.
Pushing himself up he looked around.
He saw the sky begining to lightn and a thick forest.

There was a soft rustling in the trees nearby. Kazaryl growled a warning.

Show yourself!

Erin stepped out. "What in the name of the goddess?? A dragon and a vampire? Hey...is that demon i smell?

Who are you human?

"Erin Wolf...Champion of the Goddess and Master of Flames...And you?"

None of your business human...my friend requires aid... Kazaryl indicated Dante's injured limb.

Erin noticed the vampire's injury. "Very well...bring him to my cave...i'll see if i can't patch him up there." Erin turned began making his way back to the cave with the dragon and Vampire left back in the clearing.

Dante layed back down uttering a soft grone. The cloak was soft against his head. The smell of the demons clung to dantes shirt like a oderouse skunk spray.
"Do I. Have to go with that human?" He asked tiredly.
In the prosses he downed the rest of the blood skin.

"Erin?"

Lyra's tentative voice emerged from the shadows. She pushed aside one of the evergreen limbs and took a hesitant step forward. Her eyes assessed the situation in a heartbeat. Dragon and a humanoid... certainly not human, not Elf and not Legacy, she knew their auras. This creature was something darker, wilder. Too tall to be a dwarf, and not hairy enough to be a were, she guessed vampire due to the blood around its mouth, but couldn't be certain. It was better to assume nothing, however. She'd learned that the hard way a thousand times over. Yes... But... It was injured. A wound to the shoulder, left by the obsidian knife lying nearby.

Her instinct was to do what she could to help, but that was before she came face-to-face with Erin again. She ducked her head and looked away. What was there to say? Nothing that would probably justify her running after him and nothing that would make him forgive her. Letting the amulet absorb her aura, it suddenly seemed twenty degrees colder. Ah well, there was to be no help for that. Despite her wishes, she shivered slightly. The cold seemed to ignite some sort of lost spark in her though; and, that spark gave voice to her words.

Defeat colored her voice when she addressed the warrior, some moments later: "I don't know what you expected, Sir Wolf, but I'm not leaving you." She looked past him, then met his gaze again. "Friends of yours, Sir? If assistance is required, I am at your service."

ooc: Wolf Knight, some of your posts do not meet the fifty word minimum. Please count this as your first warning and do what you can to lengthen them. So as to avoid any more rule-breaking in the future, I suggest rereading them. Thank you.

Dantes green eyes widened. Startled, he jumped to his feet and moved backwards only to slam into a boulder that was Kazaryls leg. He dropped the blood skin and the last few drops pooled at his booted foot. The scents of the human and elf mingled together in an sickeningly sweet aroma. Dante quit breathing all together and he let loose an low growl.
It was a soft subtle noise that sent tiny almost microscopic sound waves through the air. His eyes flicked from the human, Erin to the elven woman. The pointed ears clearly visable underneath her hair.

Erin caught the vampire's gaze. "Dont you dare...Unless you want me to add to your set of injuries..." He growled a warning and whirled on Lyra, taking her aside. 'What in the name of the goddess are you doing? If you are attempting to give someone the slip...you aren't supposed to follow them..." He looked at her. She seemed cold. "Can you feel your hands?" He asked her quickly.

Kazaryl gently used his tail to block Dante from attempting to attack either the human or the elf girl.

No, little one...they are not food...

Lyra looked away from him. Well, she couldn't blame him for his reaction; he'd probably expected her to put as much distance between them as possible. "I just got worried about you... I mean... You just..." It was no good. She shut up before she could sound any less intelligent. "Never mind," she muttered. "I can always leave if that's what you want."

The Elf ignored the latter question. She was alive and that was all that counted; anything else was irrelevant. That was the way she saw it, anyway. It was cold, that was only to be expected in a Lapidem blizzard. Anyway, she wasn't a stranger to the extremities in her native realm. As a Legacy of Fire, she didn't have to worry about cold and could have warmed herself in a heartbeat by letting her aura flicker around her, but it was more productive to simply store the energy away. There were a lot of things in the world that were more important than she was.

Dante was trembling,not from cold. No, vampires can't feel cold. It was fear, fear of what he might do... what dark deed he might do... no if he thought about it he might do it.
That was something Dante did not want to do.
"Not interested," he said icily. "Besides I would probibly eat the horse first. Natural selection. "
He crossed his arms across his bare chest. A thin layer of frost covered his hair and lashes. His shirt he had put in a to destroy pile. Being covered in a blood soaked shirt was not a good thing for Dante. The scent of his blood did funny things to his head, double vision and such.

Erin pulled off his own gloves and tossed them to Lyra. "You look like you need these more than I. Remember...it's really hard to make me die...a lttle snow storm isn't going to kill me...not yet at least." Erin turned away from her and nodded to the dragon and vampire to follow him back to the cave.

"Come on...it's not too far away." He marched off into the snow without a backward glance to see if they were following.

Kazaryl nodded and nudged Dante away from the elf and towards the trail that led to the cave.

Come, little one, let us go to this cave and get you patched up.

Lyra felt hurt, but none of it showed on her face. Instead, she looked anxiously at the vampire and beckoned anxiously. "C'mon," she said, her voice crisp and emotionless. "Before it festers. It's not too far." With those words, she turned and let her aura flare up, melting the snow around her to create an easier pathway for the wounded vampire.

She didn't want to get lost when there were the others behind her, she didn't want to let them down too like everyone else that she seemed to leave worse for wear. With a sigh, she shook her head and headed off, glancing behind her all the way.

Dante waited untill the elf vanished before rounding on the dragon.
"I wasn't going to eat her, besides she had fire in her veins. If I even bit her I would be dead with in seconds. "
The day walker ground his teeth while stepping over kazaryl tail. Gathering his things he muttered to himself in the native vampire tounge. Dante wrapped himself in his cloak. The rabbit fur soft against his icy skin. He led the horse down the path not saying a word.
