The Ruined City of Endar
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Endar… a forsaken city left in ruin… the precarious rubble makes just entering this once great city treacherous to all but the most fit, most daring, and the most foolhardy of individuals. It is a large walled city built out of stone that seemed to shine like gold whenever light hit it, giving the city its nickname, City of Light. When the sun shone upon the city, the walls glowed as though they were made of gold. When the moon rose and the street lamps were lit, the lamp light reflected off the stones like stars in miniature…as though the stars did not make their home in the heavens above, but in the streets of Endar. The City of Light stood strong and was quite prosperous until one fateful night when a local gang and a band of slavers fought in every street of Endar, in the process, houses were set aflame, citizens of Endar were killed or enslaved, their great civilization brought crashing down on them with them still inside it’s once mighty walls… A few months later, the Shadow King declared himself Ruler of Endar and ordered what few building were left to be torn down. Endar’s ruined walls still stand deep in the depths of the dark realm of Caligo, awaiting those brave and pure of heart to return and seek the hidden powers within.

The Road
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

The only road that connects Caligo to the outside world, it starts at the fortress and ends near the beginning of Sylvia. It is heavily guarded by day and night and few dare to take their chances on it. Those that are caught trying to flee by the soldiers of The Shadow are either killed, or brought back and slowly tortured to death as public examples of what happens when one attempts to test The Shadow's power. Because of this, it is seldom used, safe to bring goods from the outside realms into the realm. There is little more to add about the road. It has no name and was built by slaves at the same time of the construction of The Shadow's fortress. Endar still stood proud in those days since its fall happened in more recent times.

The Stream

Polluted during most times of the year, the stream the brings water into the town at the base of The Shadow's fortress is barely a trickle during the hot months of summer and during winter it is usually frozen over. All but useless, those who depend on the stream as their only source of water, view it with a mixture of love and hate. They need the stream to survive, but the stream is such a poor source of water, they many feel mocked by its presence. It has the potential to aid them in survival, but not only does the water cause many to become sick, but it is very hard to get access to during most of the year; being either almost non-existent or frozen.

The Shadow's Fortress, the Township, and the Armory
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

The Shadow's fortress was built by thousands of slaves from Caligo, many of who died in the making of it. Older than the hills, it has suffered very little from the sands of time due to the enchantments placed upon it. Made of dark grey stone and towering many hundred of feet into the sky, it is both intimidating and serves as a constant reminder of the power of The Shadow and what happens to those who oppose him. Surrounding the fortress is a tiny town, huddled in it's dominating shadow. Here live the frightened laborers and their families who forcibly serve The Shadow. Soldiers patrol the streets and the lack of laughter makes life seem all the more miserable. No one smiles, there is no reason to. Children do not play in the streets, there is no idle conversation. Life goes on in a subdued, fearful form.
